According to Roslyn, the ancient crafts are only as beautiful as the high labor standards implemented in weaving them. “By establishing partnerships with humanitarian organizations, like RugMark, we hope to help the international community focus on immediately resolving some of the remediable problems of working children everywhere.”

Roslyn brings to Aleure a 20-year background in interior architecture and interior design in corporate, hospitality and residential markets; coupled with sales and marketing of custom furniture, fabrics, leather, custom carpets and area rugs. Her inspiration was to launch Aleure, Ltd. Hand-knotted Tibetan Rugs to contribute to the revival of high-end luxury rugs. 

Tibetan rugs are unique in their knotting and weaving technique, creating a lustrous texture. Aleure creates special rug designs, produced in Nepal, and adds various hand finishing techniques to enhance a rug’s natural luster. The custom program offers personalized service through meetings with architects and interior designers in their offices and includes custom samples. Trade showrooms are included in the custom program as independent agencies.

Aleure uses materials indigenous to the region of production. So, using only the finest, live lanolin-rich Himalayan wool, genuine Chinese silk, pure cashmere and true hemp or any combination thereof are made to order in knot counts from 40-200, various pile heights, different pile structures, any shape, any custom color match, any custom design and any scale and sizes up to 55’ by 105’.

Since 2004 Aleure has brought this ancient tradition of hand-knotted, Tibetan rugs into high design and offers it to the architecture and interior design trade as custom product for high-end client projects and for retail. Roslyn’s immediate plans are to add trade showrooms, retail showrooms and independent agents that market Aleure rugs in key markets nationwide.
